Plugin Features
About

Everyaction is a platform for fundraising, messaging, and organizing used by social advocacy groups and Democratic political candidates. It also incorporates other tools owned by NGPVAN’s parent company Bonterra Group, for managing field operations, tracking voter engagements, and recruiting volunteers.

EveryAction is functionally identical to NGPVAN, but is used by organizations rather than candidates/campaigns.

Use this plugin to:

Users can import comprehensive people, transaction, and message data from NGPVAN / EveryAction into Engine9. Custom fields added to Reports can also be imported.

Users can build targeting lists in Engine9 for use in NGPVAN / EveryAction.

Users can use Engine9 lifetime value and message attribution models to analyze long-term ROI calculations and source-code-based revenue attribution.

What we love and don't love so much

Why we value this plugin and things that are not so great.

Pros

Data model: their data model and customizations are obvious and clear.

Organizing features: the breadth of standard organizing features available in NGP is unparalleled.

Pricing: some of the most reasonable pricing in the sector. Very high value for customers.

Supports multiple phones and emails per person: a shockingly uncommon feature that adds a lot of value for users interested in lifetime value reporting and utilizing multiple attribution models.

Field integration: We like the tight integration with field programs (e.g. VAN)

Cons

Pipeline access required for API: without upgrading to NGP’s Pipeline ($), there is no access to the API for automated data operations.

Bonterra ownership: not a fan of the direction that any of the Bonterra properties have taken post-acquisition.

Complex reporting: NGP’s reporting function is confusing, messy, and unnecessarily complicated, making it difficult to get simple, quick answers about key performance metrics.

One-size-fits-all: unlike some other CRMs, NGP doesn’t have many modular parts or features that can be enabled or disabled as needed.
